As of 1 October the transport company SDL – Schou-Danielsen Logistik A/S in Odense will serve all business clients on Funen for the Scandinavian transport giant Post Nord.
This means that many more companies in Odense and the northern part of Funen will meet the characteristic red trucks from SDL, as SDL is now seriously focusing on becoming the extended arm of the entire business sector on Funen. The company already has 500 business clients on Funen – a large part of these is located in Odense and Central and Southern Funen.
”Our ambition has always been to be ready 24/7 365 days a year to serve customers with logistics solutions nationally as well as internationally. We get new assignments now because we have demonstrated that we can and will deliver quality. With the new location we have been trusted in our cooperation with Post Nord , we will get even closer to our clients in Odense and the northern part of Funen”, Sales Director Jens Fosvig of SDL says.
The extension of SDL’s action radius is an optimisation of the servicing of business clients on Funen with general cargo and pallets in connection with pick-up as well as distribution. Daily departures will be available from Funen to all of Denmark and Sweden.
SDL is the result of a merger in June 2013 between the well-known Transport companies Peter Danielsen Transport A/S and the general cargo department of Poul Schou A/S from Funen. Since the successful start, the company has focused on becoming the extended arm of the business sector on Funen through the development of new products and a clear vision of further expansion. SDL drives all over Denmark with general cargo, packages, pallets, as well as dangerous goods. The company also offers warehousing solutions.
